What we collect
We collect only what is needed to run practice and reports for a student:
- About the student: name, class, board and subject.
- About the parent or guardian: name and phone number.
- Usage data: test responses, scores and time spent, used to personalise practice.
Why we collect it
To run the diagnostic and practice tests, to prepare the weekly progress report for the parent, and to process payment. That is the whole list.
Parent-verified consent
Students are minors, so a parent or guardian registers and verifies with a one-time password (OTP) sent to their own WhatsApp number. A student’s data is processed only after that parent-verified registration.
What we don’t do
- We don’t use student data for advertising.
- We don’t sell personal data.
Who processes data for us
Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the service:
- the WhatsApp Business API, which delivers tests and reports;
- an AI model provider, used to run the practice and diagnostic engine;
- a payment processor, which handles subscription payments.
The final policy will name each provider.
If a tuition centre referred your child
If your child joined through a tutor or tuition centre, that centre sees the same weekly report a parent sees.
Access, correction and erasure
A parent can ask to see, correct or erase their own or their child’s data at any time by emailing query@shadowtuitions.com with the subject “Data request”. You can also use our contact form.
